CUSTOM COMMISSION POLICY

Effective Date: June 27, 2026

Welcome to www.yuvart.pictures.

My name is Viktar Yushkevich, a professional artist and the owner of Viktar Yushkevich YUVART.

This Custom Commission Policy explains the terms and conditions for ordering an original commissioned painting.

Every commissioned artwork is created entirely by hand and is a unique, original work of art.

For me, creating a commissioned painting is a creative collaboration with a collector. My goal is to transform your ideas into an original artwork while preserving my artistic style, attention to detail, and the highest standards of craftsmanship.

To request a commissioned painting, please complete the online form:
Custom Artwork Request Form

1. What Is a Custom Commission?

A commissioned painting is an original artwork created specifically for an individual client.

The commission may include customization of:

  • size;

  • color palette;

  • subject matter;

  • composition;

  • specific details.

Typical painting sizes range from:

20 × 30 cm to 250 × 200 cm.

Larger or custom sizes may be available upon request.

2. Project Consultation

Before beginning a commission, I discuss every project personally with the client.

Depending on the project, I may provide:

  • a preliminary sketch;

  • a composition concept;

  • a written artistic proposal.

Work begins only after both parties agree on:

  • the concept;

  • dimensions;

  • price;

  • estimated completion time;

  • payment terms.

3. Production Time

Estimated completion times are:

  • small paintings — up to 15 calendar days;

  • large paintings — up to 30 calendar days.

The exact completion time depends on the complexity of each commission.

4. Payment

Payment terms are agreed individually.

Typical options include:

Option 1

  • 100% payment before work begins.

Option 2

  • 50% deposit before production;

  • remaining 50% before shipment.

5. Changes During the Process

Minor adjustments are possible during the early stages of creation, including:

  • color adjustments;

  • small detail modifications;

  • minor artistic revisions.

Significant changes after work has begun may not be possible or may require an additional fee.

6. Order Cancellation

If a client cancels the commission after work has begun:

  • a 50% deposit is non-refundable;

  • all other situations are reviewed individually.

7. Returns

Since every commissioned painting is created specifically for one client, commissioned artworks are generally non-returnable.

Exceptions may include:

  • damage during shipping;

  • other exceptional circumstances considered individually.

8. Framing

Paintings are normally sold unframed.

Upon request, I will be happy to recommend a frame that complements the artwork.

9. Final Approval Before Shipping

Once the painting is completed, I will send detailed photographs for your approval.

You will receive:

  • full images of the completed artwork;

  • close-up photographs showing texture and details;

  • additional viewing angles if necessary.

This allows you to confirm that the finished painting fully reflects the approved concept and meets your expectations.

If only a deposit has been paid, the remaining balance becomes due after your approval.

Once full payment has been received, the artwork is carefully packaged and shipped together with a personally signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming that the painting is an original work created entirely by me.

A tracking number will be provided immediately after shipment.

10. Shipping

Every painting is professionally packed to ensure safe international delivery.

Paintings measuring 50 × 70 cm or larger:

  • shipped rolled in a double protective plastic tube.

Smaller paintings:

  • shipped stretched on canvas;

  • protected inside rigid MDF packaging.

11. Publication and Ownership Rights

After purchase, the client becomes the legal owner of the original physical artwork.

The collector may:

  • display the painting in a home, office, or other private or public space;

  • publish photographs of the artwork on social media or other websites;

  • share information about the artwork;

  • resell the original painting if desired.

If you share photographs of your painting online, I would greatly appreciate a credit such as:

Unless otherwise agreed, I also reserve the right to display photographs of completed commissioned works on:

  • my official website;

  • portfolio;

  • social media;

  • exhibition materials;

  • printed or digital catalogs;

as examples of my artistic work.

If you prefer your commissioned artwork to remain private, please let me know before the commission begins. I will always respect your wishes.

12. Copyright

Purchasing an original painting transfers ownership of the physical artwork only.

All copyrights and intellectual property rights, including reproduction rights, remain exclusively with Viktar Yushkevich, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Without my prior written permission, the artwork may not be:

  • reproduced;

  • copied;

  • used for commercial purposes;

  • printed as reproductions;

  • used in advertising, publications, or merchandise.
